Read Luke 11:5-13
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Luke 11:9 (NLT)
Have you prayed about it lately? I do not know what you’re facing, but we all have an “it.” It could be a sickness, a problematic relationship, a ministry opportunity, a job, or any other situation or concern. We all have those times where the heavens seem silent. Deafening silence can be debilitating.
As believers, we know our heavenly Father is working on our behalf (Rom 8:28). However, He may be waiting for us to press closer in fervent prayer. In Luke 11:5-13, Jesus explains the fervency needed in petitions. However, we must not view God as “holding out” on us. God is eager to answer our requests, but often in the seeking, He conditions our heart to receive His answer.
You may feel like it’s pointless to pray about it again but keep on asking, seeking, and knocking. God hears you. Although the heavens may be mute now, God will answer your request. When the answer comes, it may be different from your original desire because, in the asking, the seeking, and the knocking God has completed a work in you. So, have you prayed about it lately? We have a promise that God will answer. Keep pressing in prayer.
